The Old Dalians’ Association - Jaspreet Anand Memorial ‘Six-a-Side’ floodlit cricket tournament at the BUM club, the Daly College, was a runaway success. It was organised between 30th April 2009 and 14th May 2009, with a participation of 31 teams. In the ‘Above 35 years’ category, ODA Royals defeated United Six and won the trophy for the second year in continuation. The trophy for the ‘General’ category was won by Shadow Fax, who defeated the Ikons. The ‘Man of the tournament’ was won by Mr. Devraj Badgara and Mr. Bharat Chourasia, respectively for both the categories. The tournament was a delight for players as much as for the spectators, where Mr. A. Ansari and Mr. Rupal Parekh were the commentators throughout. We congratulate Jai Jhabua and the Executive Committee members for the successful execution of the tournament. The Desai family needs special mention here, as they all came to cheer the players. Mrs. Anand was the chief guest for the occasion. Thanks to Velocity Cinemas for sponsoring all ‘man-of-the-match’ awards.
