our endeavor to make it more vibrant, active, and a self-sustaining organization.
It should evolve as a hub and a proactive platform for reviving & maintaining
relationship between Old Dalians and to bring maximum number of
Old Dalians under its fold.
Old Dalians' Association (ODA) is the alumni association of the
Daly College, Indore. The Daly College is one of the most coveted
public schools of India, having a history of its own.
The story commences from 1870 when the institution was named as Residency School.
It was renamed as Rajkumar College in 1876, and in 1882, it came to be known as
the Daly College. It was established by the Resident
Governor of the erstwhile Presidency, for the children of Royal families in India.
Since then, the school has been a premier educational institute with all modern
facilities, having more than 2,000 students from different
walks of the society. The Daly College campus spreads over a huge area of 118 acres
in one of the most exclusive areas in Indore, and now,
also has a Business School under its umbrella. You could get more details from the

The ODA is a devotedly active organization with an objective of helping
each of its members through networking and to make a contribution to their alma
mater's betterment. It has strength of over 2,700 members across the globe, which
includes professionals, business-persons, industrialists, sports-persons, artists,
etc. from the most elite strata of the society. Each year, at least, a hundred members
are added to the ODA fraternity as they pass out from the School after Class XII
examinations.
ODA is governed by an executive body, which is elected from its members for a period
of three years. The current committee for 2008 – 2011 is as follows:
ODA is a very active organization; every year, it celebrates the
'ODA WEEK'
coinciding with the Annual Day Celebrations of the Daly College. The ODA has annual
programmes like:
The RAJGARH CUP CRICKET MATCH between Old Dalians and staff of the Daly College
The NARSINGARH CUP CRICKET MATCH between Old Dalians and present Dalians
BANERA CUP HOCKEY MATCH between old Dalians and present Dalians
SQUASH, TENNIS, and SHOOTING COMPETITIONS, and many more tournaments.
The LUNAWADA Quiz is conducted for the present Dalians and the Old Dalians.
We have an ODA Concert where many Old Dalians act and display their talents.
NEW MEMBERSHIP:
We, at the ODA, intend to present more events, motivate existing young Old Dalians
to join the main stream activities, and encourage membership. New membership form
is available on the website and we request those Old Dalians who have still not
enrolled as members, to be a part of the ODA family at the earliest.

It will come in its new format and will be printed once every two months. We would
request you to kindly send us more information on personal, professional, academic,
and/or sports achievements, or marriage, or any other details which you would like
to share with fellow Old Dalians. The information may be sent to us via email at

same can be printed in the next ODA newsletter.
We request your kind participation in person and contribute by giving us your valued
suggestions to pursue and accomplish our common goal of enhancing the ODA. Kindly

info@olddalians.org. Our goal will be best achieved when we activate regional
chapters of the ODA and bring everyone together with maximum enthusiasm.
